I'll try to make the introduction short...
First blog, was thinking about it for a very long time...
Mumbai was the ultimate inspiration...
For the unknowns, i am currently into my summer training and have completed my first year of Masters in Business Administration(MBA,as it is better known). I am a student of IMT-Ghaziabad(decent college for MBA) and presently working as a Summer Intern at Becton Dickinson...(my friends spell it as dick-in-son, though sounds funny but is completely normal...every son usually has got a dick)...
Getting back(please don't get frustrated,i might often get carried away) to my summers,i am required to travel 5 cities to explore business opportunities in TB diagnosis for the Company...!!
Good project on face value...
So,i have already been to Delhi and Lucknow(my new hometown)...and presently in Mumbai for a week...i have said before that Mumbai inspired me to finally write a blog, not because i am completely fascinated by this 'nagaria' and suddenly the idea has flashed as i am awestruck by the charm...rather its due to the fact that it is the first time i am learning about the place as i am traveling a lot...
Mumbai in summers is very humid...and i sweat a lot...and i have to travel in local trains..and the locals are always crowded..re read 'crowded'..in fact i should write it in bold..crowded...recall the fevicol wala ad and extrapolate the one coach to around 12(sometimes 9 coaches) and then finally multiply it with 171(no of local trains) and you have got the mumbai suburban railway in your right hand...!!!
at peak time, there are around 5000+ passengers in a 9 coach train and 14-16 stand in per square meter of floor space..
So on my first day in mumbai,my dear friend Uday (who incidently is my room mate at imt and here at mumbai also..in the guest house, same company) was the boss..
and before i move on...i will like to categorically state that i like girls/young women and feel good on seeing them...i m stating this specifically for my imt mates coz they usually catch me when i talk well about a guy..
On the first day,i too was among the 14 men fighting for a place in that one square meter...
But people in mumbai are nice, they won't make u feel that u r in a fight...if u can manage the sweat, a newbie can actually enjoy the ride in the locals...and while boarding,u can recall the famous aftershave puchline,"for men who don't have to try too hard"..u dont actually have to try too hard....just stand in front of a gate and the storm of crowd behind will automatically push u in...
so both of us(me and uday) were in this local and were not able to see each other coz i was not able to turn my face in his direction because of a hand which was almost attached with my left cheek..we were able to talk though...suddenly a man who was facing me,eye for a draculian eye(his eye), with his big fat tummy pressing against my stomach(i was taller than this zombie man) opened his mouth and asked,"bandra kon side"...(to be contd...)
